Bovada Overview

The Bovada online sportsbook is actually part of the bigger, European based sportsbook, Bodog; both of which are part of the Bodog Group. Bovada was established early on in 2011, when the U.S. legislation cleared up some of the gambling laws. However, even though Bovada is relatively new, their management team is very experienced when it comes to managing an online sportsbook. The Bovada headquarters are in Antigua, while they are licensed and regulated through the Kahnawake Gaming Commission in Canada. This allows them to welcome any and all U.S. bettors into their website; the only downside is that they only allow U.S. resident to become members. Their extensive sportsbook recently underwent aesthetic changes and has become even better than before, making it easy for those NFL sports fans to find and bet on their favorite teams.

Bovada Website
Score: 9.5/10

The Bovada website has a smooth and relaxing look to it, as well as having all of the functions that the top sportsbooks have. They make it easy for the sports bettors to find and bet on their preferred sports teams and matches, by having the available sports on the side; simply click on the general sport and find the specific match or event. Open events will be clearly labeled to cut down on confusion. The more popular and upcoming matches will be directly on the front page, like the current NFL season matchups, along with their schedule and odds.

This online sportsbook doesn’t just give the bettor the betting lines, they also add in little extras that make such a great place to wager on sports. They include a wealth of information at the bettor’s finger tips; between up to date news and individual team stats. They make it an even better betting experience by having Live Betting for certain matches. This means that bettors can place wagers on these matchups as the game is being played; with updating scores and odds. It has everything a sports bettor would need and want in order to place a bet.

Bovada Sports Selection
Score: 9/10

The Bovada sportsbook has a little bit for everyone, including those that are more interested in the American sports, as well as international sports. They have the best selection of American sports including Basketball, Baseball, Hockey, and the highly competitive Football; with the NFL and NCAA. They also have a good variety of international sports for those fans of Soccer, Rugby, Cricket, and Motor Sports like NASCAR and Formula 1 racing. They also have under the radar type of sports like Darts, Snooker, Cycling, and Athletics. They were a big proponent of the 2012 Olympic Games, having wagers for almost every single sporting event there was.

Bovada Wagering Options

The way they operate is they give Futures or Prop bets during the week, and two days before the actual match, they will start with the actual betting lines such as the Money Line, Point Totals, Over/Under, and the Point Spreads. During the NFL season, they will have futures on each team regarding whether or not they will win the Super Bowl, their own Conference, or even be able to come out as the leader in their Division. Bovada sticks to the main types of betting, as they have been proven to be more effective for both the sportsbook and the bettor. They also offer the three different types of odds, American, Fraction, and Decimal in case a bettor understands one type of odds better than the other.

Bovada Bonuses and Promotions
Score: 8/10

Bovada does a very good job at updating their bonuses and promotions, as well as keeping their members happy. They have recently changed up their Welcome Bonus for those new members that are ready to sign up. The Welcome Bonus gives new members the chance to get a 50% Free Bet, up to $250. This means a bettor could have the chance to place an extra $250 on the bet of their choice, which could mean a bigger payout than normal. The downfall of their bonus system is that they usually have seasonal or sports specific bonuses, so for those bettors not interested in that sport, it is no good to them. They have the Roy’s Rewards promotion, where bettors would bet on Roy Halladay, $20 or more, for him to reach 200 wins and they would get a bonus of $10 for each win; that is a total of $120 in bonus.

Bovada Banking Options
Score: 7/10

Bovada doesn’t really have that many deposit or withdrawing methods available, but they do assure their members that these are the safest and fastest methods of doing any financial transaction with them.

Bovada Customer Service
Score: 8.5/10

The Bovada customer service is excellent; the only thing is that the options are limited on how to contact them for help. Their telephone service is great; they have their support staff available to help a member out with any question or inquiry 24/7, 7 days a week. The support staff will try and respond any inquiries within 4 hours.
